The project for the redevelopment of public spaces in the center of Luino - Piazza Risorgimento, Parco Ferrini and Villa Hussy - aims to define a new integrated and unitary system of public spaces, capable of stimulating meeting and socialization, enhancing the collective heritage existing, encourage new features and flexibility of use, overcoming the state of fragmentation existing between these areas.

The project stems from the need to combine historical, urban and environmental elements with the need to create a contemporary architectural image suitable for reception, daily and tourist use functions, guaranteeing the total usability of public spaces in a balance between spaces green and paved areas, pedestrian areas and vehicular traffic.

The new square will be the crux of the new system of public spaces and will be characterized by a strong symbolic character and is distinguished by the presence of two distinctive elements: water and greenery.

Parco Ferrini and garden of Villa Hussy are instead designed as meeting places, aggregation and cultural promotion with the aim of giving young people and all citizens a space to meet and socialize.
